Drifting in the darkness, low, I thought I’d never see. But now I know that all the light was right in front of me. Truly Blind I was to see what was there all along, but now I hear, I see, I taste, and I hear the bird’s sweet songs. But even though I have all this, she’ll never take me back. I’ve been locked away for too long, she’ll probably turn her back. I run I breathe, I jump about, I feel so light and gay. Yet still I need her gentle touch will show my heart the way. I’ll miss her for eternity I’ll miss her longer still. But I guess my care is not enough to fill her stronger will. This can’t go on much longer, I’ll put myself back inside if I keep on loving her, I surely soon will die. I’ll put myself back darkness for eternity and more. Until I hear her lovely voice comes knocking at my door…
